Collect your equipment from our office or have it delivered to your home. Delivery fees apply for home delivery service.

Who Are We

Tread Lite began as a small, family-run 4×4 rental business, building compact, minimalist Suzuki Jimnys—fully equipped for travellers exploring Southern Africa’s back roads.

Our camping equipment rentals grew from a desire to help local travellers enjoy the same kind of adventure in their own vehicles. With some planning and the right gear, almost any vehicle can be travel-ready.

Each kit is thoughtfully packed with practical, durable essentials: rooftop or ground tents, quality sleeping gear, a complete camp kitchen setup, fridge, and basic tools. It’s everything you need—and nothing you don’t—for a comfortable, self-sufficient trip.
